SLOVENIAN WINTER CUP - POSTOJNA
17/12/2005

At the first competition for the Slovenian Winter Cup held in school sport hall in Postojna I ran only with Cap.
Although either Cap or I didn't train for almost two weeks we did agility run quite good. We were the fastest in A3 Large class in that run, although Cap stopped for a moment after he knocked spread jump.
In jumping run Cap 'crushed' again into spread jump and fell down on one of the bars. I wasn't sure should I continue our run or not, because I wasn't sure if he injured his front leg (the one because of which he had training break). That my dilemma Cap solved when because of lack of my concentration, he negotiated the wrong obstacle (results).

CROATIAN CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS - ZAGREB
12/11/2005

In final competition of Croatian Championship, which was held on terrain of our Club, I ran with Puppy, Cap and Pip.
Although Cap still holds back a little when he runs with me, we were 2nd in agility run. In jumping we had refusal so we end up on 4th place overall. In Open run Cap was 2nd.
I ran also with Pip, because Tomislav was the Best man on his friend's wedding, so he couldn't compete (he said that he head great time). With Pip I was 3rd in jumping run and she knocked on bar in agility. We were 3rd overall.
With Puppy I ran agility run badly, but we made clear jumping run. Points that we got in this competition were enough for Puppy to win title of Croatian agility Champion for 2005. I believe that this is nice ending of Puppy's long and successful agility career :-).
Second place in Croatian Championship was won by Tomislav and Pip. Sincere congratulations!

Zeljko & judge Mitja Znidaric

Other results worth mentioning is definitively a triumph of our dear friend (and when we are speaking about weddings, our Best man) Zeljko - he was 1st in A1 Large class with Mawlch Nac, 1st in A2-Open class with Tanja's Miska and with her also 1st in Open run. Well done Zeljko!
Also I would like to commend our friend Miska Mrackova (from Bratislava) because she was 2nd in agility run and 3rd in Open run with Cita's daughter Mawlch Gera.
Sincere congratulations to all (results)!

NIKO'S AGILITY DEBUT - CITY OF EDOGAWA, TOKYO
15/10/2005

On Saturday 15th of October in distant Japan Puppy's daughter Niko had her agility debut. It was success - Niko and her handler Kozo won 3rd place. Sincere congratulations!

Niko

SLOVENIAN CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS - HRUSICA
15/10/2005

In final competition of Slovenian Championship I ran with Cita and Cap. With both I had one good and one bad run.
Cita was 2nd in agility run, but in jumping I made beginner's mistake so we had one refusal. Ever since I changed way of training contact zones with Cita I'm still not satisfied how that looks on competition.
It was other way around with Cap - one refusal in agility run and "clear" jumping (4th place). Cap and I still need to adjust our selves, at this competition there was problems with handling Cap, because he was little hectic and "buzzing around".
In A3 Large Tanja and Miska won, Tjasa and Mawlch Griff were the fastest in jumping.
In A1 Large class Mitja was 1st with his young Mawlch Niamh and Zeljko was 3rd with her brother Nac.

Mitja & Niamh

In A2 Large class Myf's mum Meg was 1st and debutants in A2, Tanja and Happy, were 2nd. At that class, Cita's halfsister Panta Rhei was first in agility run, she was even faster than Meg. Bravo Tamara!
Sincere congratulations to all (results)!

EUKANUBA CUP FINALS - NAKLO
08/10/2005

In Eukanuba cup final competition, which was held at always muddy terrain of dog club Naklo, I was DK with Cita in both runs. In agility 3 run I was quite upset because of Cita's lousy performance on the dogwalk zone, so went out of the ring (at that moment that seemed like the best thing to do, although I know now that it would be better if I kept running). In jumpingu I fell down after one front cross, which resulted with DK (at this competition I wasn't the only one that fall down in mud :-)).
In A3 Large class Tanja and Miska were 2nd. Congratulations!
In agility 2 run Tomislav and Pip were 2nd (and with that they enter A3 class - congratulations!), and Bruna Kukec with Pip's son Mawlch Gel were 3rd. In that class winner was Myf's mum Meg, which was 1st in both runs.
In A1 Large class Mawlch Niamh was 3rd in jumping (results).

Pip

EUKANUBA CUP COMPETITION - KOCEVJE
01/10/2005

This was the first agility competition held in Kocevje.
In A1 Large class Tanja and her Croatian Sheepdog Happy won 2nd place.
In A2 Large class Pip was 1st in jumping, but DK in agility run.
In A3 Large class Tanja and Miska were 1st. Mitja with Ceri was 2nd in agility run. I was DK with Cita, 6th with Puppy, but with lots of mistakes (results).

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS - VALLADOLID
23-25/09/2005

This year's Agility World Championship was held in Valladolid in Spain, around 30 hours drive from Zagreb. The Croatian team and its supporters took this long trip by bus together with Slovenian colleagues.
The Croatian team included the following competitors: Tanja Janes with Croatian Sheepdogs Edo and Miska, Tomislav Zdencar with Pip, Sara with Cap and I with Puppy and Cita.

Pip

Edo

On Thursday, while training, we noticed that, although completely new and nice looking, the "artificial grass" type carpet was quite bad for running. Even the small dogs were slipping on it like Bambi on ice. My old Puppy almost broke her incisive-tooth (it came loose) when she slipped into one of the obstacles.

Puppy

Some of our fastest dogs, like Sara's Cap, were struggling to maintain their running rhythm because after almost every time that they needed to make a sharp turn, they slipped. Because of that, although there weren't any visible handling errors, in some of their runs they had time faults?! I have to mention that the same dog (Cap) was 4th in the individual agility run in the last year's Championship in Montichiari. Many competitors encountered the same problems, and the only thing we could do was hope that the carpet would be better next year in Switzerland.

Cap

In runs for the individual placement the best from our team was Tanja with Miska. They were 9th and that's the best individual overall result of a Croatian competitor on the World Championships till today. Sara and Cap were 38th, Tomislav and Pip 40th, Cita and I 51st, Tanja and Edi 54th and Puppy and I 97th (Puppy and I had DK in the individual agility run).

Miska

In runs for the team placement Tanja and Miska, Sara and Cap and Cita and I ran for Croatia. Unfortunately, only Cita and I made both runs clear. If by any chance those two runs were counting for the individual placement, then Cita would be vice-champion of the World. With Miska's two and Cap's three mistakes, and with overall 3rd fastest time, the Croatian team gained good 11th place from 28 national teams.

Cita

It is interesting that Tanja with Miska and Sara with Cap were members of the SAR team that, only a few months ago, won IRO World SAR Championship. That shows how versatile our dogs really are.

SLOVENIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - TRZIC
10/09/2005

In A2 Large class Myf's mother Meg was again, like in previous competition, 1st in agility run and 2nd overall.
Cita was 2nd in agility run and 3rd overall in A3 Large class. Mitja with Cap's sister Ceri was overall 2nd in the same class.
Puppy and Cap didn't have good placement (results).

EUKANUBA CUP COMPETITION - LJUBLJANA
03/09/2005

In Ljubljana, in competition organized by dog club Ljubljana two dogs from our 'N' litter had their official debut. Dear friends Zeljko Gora with Nac and Mitja Znidaric with Niamh got clear agility run, and Mitja was with Niamh also 2nd overall (only better from her was Puppy's grandson Aron).
In A1 Large class I was also highly pleased to see Croatian Sheepdog Mawlch Graa with her handler Ivana Kirik. Graa, fortunately, inherited energy and speed of her parents - Apolon and Cite.
In A2 Large class Myf's mum Meg was 1st in agility run and 2nd overall. Tomislav with our Pip was 1st in jumping run and overall 3rd.
In A3 Large class overall 1st was our dear friend Tanja with Cita's halfbrother Edi.
Cita was the fastest in agility run, but she had two mistakes. In jumping Cita and I were DK.
Although Sara run really nice run with him, in the end of agility run Cap hit hard one pole of slalom and lost his rhythm, so he needed to repeat it (results).

Edi

4TH EUROPEAN OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP - DIELSDORF
23-24/07/2005

At the 4th European Open Championship in Switzerland Sara and I didn't accomplished good results, neither in team event not in individual. Cap and Puppy were in 'Mawlch' team together with Pip and her son Gel, and Cita was in 'Croatian Sheepdog' team together with Tanja's Edi, Miska and Happy (results).

EUKANUBA CUP COMPETITION - PORTOROSE
17/07/2005

As like it's tradition, Sara and Cap were in Portorose quite bad - they had two mistakes in both runs. But Cap was the fastest in jumping, almost 2 seconds faster than Cita, which was 1st in that run.
In agility run both Cita and Puppy were DK, and in jumping Puppy was also good, she won 3rd place.

Myf's mum Meg was 2nd in agility 2 run, but DK in jumping.
I would like to mention our friend Bruna Kukec that won both runs in A1 Large class with her Mawlch Gel. Congratulations! (results)

EUKANUBA CUP COMPETITION - SKOFJA LOKA
02/07/2005

In the competition in Selca near Skofja Loka, I meet Bernard Primozic - agility friend from my early days. It's a pity that he came to competition only as spectator.
I was two times 3rd - with Cita in agility run and with Puppy in jumping run (results).
All together this competition will remain in the best memory because while I was there Sara called me to inform me that she won search and rescue World Championship with Cap, and that our Club's SAR team is team Champion (more...).

CACIAg COMPETITION - DOMZALE
25/06/2005

Myf's mother Meg was 1st in A1 Large class.
Except that, this competition I'll remember only by the fact that I manage to fall down in both runs with Cita. Maybe I should blame the shoes :-) (results)
.

11TH INTERNATIONAL AGILITY WEEKEND - GEEL, BELGIUM
18-19/06/2005

At the 11th International agility weekend in Geel I won Open agility run with Cita.

4TH COMPETITION FOR CROATIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - VARAZDIN
12/06/2005

In second competition in Varazdin I ran with Cita and Puppy.
Cita, apparently, returned into her peak form - she won both agility and jumping run.
With Puppy I wasn't very good (results).

Andreja & Myf's mum Meg

COMPETITION FOR EUKANUBA CUP - LJUTOMER
04/06/2005

In competition for Slovenian Eukanuba cup, which was held in Ljutomer, I was competing both with Cita and Puppy.
I made only one good run and that was 2nd place in jumping 3 with my dear old Puppy. She was really good, she had 2nd time in that run. Only faster was Tanja with Miska. Tanja won A3 Large class overall with Cita's halfbrother Edi and Andreja won A1 Large class overall with Myf's mother Meg - congratulations (results)!

Edi & Tanja

SLOVENIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - MARIBOR
28/05/2005

On 28th of May, in competition in Maribor, after long time I was competing again with Cita.
After first (agility 3) run Cita was 1st and Puppy 3rd and Puppy's grandson Mawlch Griff "squeezed" him self between them.
In jumping Cita started to knock bars so I, being worried the she don't re-injure her self, stopped our run.
Puppy ran very happy and fast in jumping, but I, having Cita's dubious health on my mind, didn't handle her very well.
"Super" Griff won A3 Large class overall. Tjasa and he were winners in both competitions in which they started in A3 class. That's really great (results)!

JUDGING IN ITALY
21-22/05/2005

In the end of last year I got invitation for judging from Irma Bertolini, Italian team member. Her dog club was planning to organize two days long competition in June and she wanted that I judge on it. Because of my previous nice experience with judging in Italy (I judged competition and made some new friends in Bologna two years ago) I gladly accepted the invitation. I was even happier when I heard from Irma that my dear agility friend Andrea Balugani is training in the same club.
I arrived in Reggio Emilia on Friday afternoon because Andrea asked me if I could give him some tips about training with his young bitch. After training there was dinner... that last to the midnight. And the same happened on Saturday and Sunday evening :-). At these dinners atmosphere was fantastic and Italians again prove them selves to be excellent hosts.
In competition on Saturday there was about 150 and on Sunday about 250 dogs. It was quite hot and oppressive, but it was interesting to judge those, mostly very fast, Italian dogs.

SLOVENIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - LOZNICA NEAR ZALEC
14/05/2005

In Loznica, little village near Zalec, 4th competition for Slovenian Championship was held. Competition was organized by Dog Club Pluton.
Sara and Cap were DK in agility 3 run and Cap knocked one bar in jumping 3 run (but, in that run, he was the fastest of all A3 dogs on that competition).

Puppy

Puppy and I were 1st in agility 3 run, 3rd in jumping 3 run and we won A3 Large class overall. Old Puppy is still holding good - next day she was 2nd on sheepdog trial in Austria (more).

First three in A3 Large

In this competition in A2 Large class winner was our friend Tjasa with Mawlch Griff. Congratulations (results)!

Tjasa & Griff

SLOVENIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - GORNJA RADGONA
07/05/2005

In Gornja Radgona, along with hunting fair, 3rd competition for Slovenian National Championship was held. Sara and I participated with Cap and Puppy.
Puppy, by winning in A3 run, gained her first candidature for Slovenian agility champion (CACAg) and she was 3rd overall.
Although Cap had one mistake in both runs he ended up on 5th place overall.

In this competition in A3 Large class winner was our dear friend Mitja with Cap's sister Ceri. Congratulations (results)!

SLOVENIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - PTUJ
01/05/2005

On 1st of May, in competition in Ptuj, 7 Mawlch dogs were participating. Sara and Cap won A3 Large and Mawlch Griff won 2nd place in jumping and also 3rd place in A2 Large class overall.

Myf's mum Meg was the first and the fastest both in agility 1 and jumping 1 run so, therefore, she won A1 Large class. Congratulations to Andreja!

Cap

Janja and Glen gain overall 4th place in A2 Large class (results).

JUDGING IN VIENNA
01/05/2005

As I mention below, dear Inge asked me to judge agility competition named the Breitenleer Cup organized in Vienna by her Club ÖRV Wien. There were around 70 competitors running. Weather was really hot, but competition was organized fluidly and I enjoyed judging.

A3 course

SEMINAR IN VIENNA
29.-30/04/2005

Our dear friend Inge Hertenberger invited me to hold a two-day seminar and I also to judge an agility competition.
I worked with small group of 5 handlers and that was really nice experience. We discussed a lot and run with the dog less (because very hot weather) and really I enjoyed working with them. Although some of participants were already on one of my seminars I believe that they all learned something new.

participants: Eva with Woodstock, Urlike with Harry, Tina with Mudi, Dagmar with Benji and Inge with Baja

2ND COMPETITION FOR CROATIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - VARAZDIN
24/04/2005

In Varazdin, on 24th of April 2nd competition for Croatian National Championship was held. My ols Puppy was excellent again and won 1st place in A2-open class. Cap was 3rd in agility run (he knocked on bar), but unfortunately he was DK in jumping run and didn't make good overall placement (results).

GYP'S ANOTHER SUCCESS
17/04/2005

On 17th of April in JKC competition Gyp got another first place. She had great agility run (her average speed was amazing 5,09 m/s, and she more that 3 seconds faster than all others) and that was her first 'zero' run at agility 1 class in JKC competitions.
It is interesting to say that on this competition Hiroto and Gyp went by airplane because the venue was far away.

Congratulations!

Hiroto and Gyp in training

SLOVENIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - AJDOVSCINA
09/04/2005

On 9th of April Sara and Cap were participating in competition in Ajdovscina. All day rain was falling hard. Terain was terably wet, mudy and slipery. I believe that this was one of the reasons that Sara and Cap didn't make good result. They had fastest time (in both runs together over 3,5 seconds faster that others), but Cap knocked 4 bars. Pip was 2nd in agility 2 run, but DK in jumping run.
In the same class, our friend Tjasa and Griff won 2nd place, and Meg, mother of my Myf, won 1st place in agility 1 run and she was overall 2nd in A2 Large class. Congratulations! (results)

Sara and Cap

1ST COMPETITION FOR CROATIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - ZAGREB
02/04/2005

In first competition for Croatian Championship held on our Club's terrain Sara and Cap made nice result - 1st place in agility 2-Open run and 1st place overall in A2-Open Large. With Puppy I wasn't very successful, but with Cita I was 2nd jumping 2-Open run.
Pip and her handler Tomislav were 2nd in A2-Open run, right after Pip's brother Cap.

I would like to mention that our friend Bruna and Mawlch Gel were 1st in agility 1 run (results).

EASTER COMPETITION IN AUSTRIA
28/03/2005

In agility competition held one Easter Monday in OEGV Flavia Solva, near Slovenian-Austrian border Sara and I didn't accomplish good placement.
But Tomislav and Pip were overall 2nd in A2 Large and Pip's daughter Mawlch Gunna was 1st in that class and Pip's son Mawlch Gel was 1st in A1 Large overall (results).

GYP'S NEW RESULT
13/03/2005

I got another happy news from Japan - in JKC agility competitions Mawlch Gyp won another jumping 1 class run between more than 90 dogs. Because Hiroto needed to go to work immediately after his run, his wife, our dear friend Noriko got on the podium with Gyp instead of him.

Interesting is that second place in that run won my dear agility friend Marco Mouwen with borrowed dog (Marco was judging competition day earlier).

Congratulations!

Marco Mouwen and Noriko with Gyp

KORNEUBURG WINTER CUP FINALS, AUSTRIA
13/03/2005

My dear agility friend Sonja Mladek invited me to judge the finals of winter cup organized by her dog club. The competition was held on the carpet in one part of big industrial hall in Korneuburg near Vienna. Atmosphere was very nice and I enjoyed judging. You could see the results and parcours here.
Also I used this oportunity to see again little Mawlch Minn that lives in Vienna, because her owner Susi was participating in the competition with her older dogs. I had Myf with me so two sisters could play.

1ST COMPETITION FOR EUKANUBA CUP - PRESTRANEK
12/03/2005

In first competition for Eukanuba cup in Slovenia, which was held in riding hall in Prestranek, Sara ran with Cap and I ran with Puppy, Cita and Miska (Croatian Sheepdog bitch of our friend Tanja Janes).
Sara and Cap were in a lead in A3 competition after agility run (and won Slovenian CACAg), but they knocked one bar in jumping and finished in 4. place overall.
Although it seems that she is OK, Cita probably didn't fully recovered after injury, so she'll skip few more training sessions.
Puppy is excellent shape for her age. She was 3rd in both agility 3 and jumping 3 runs and she won 2nd place overall.
We were "dog-sitting" Miska while Tanja was in England, so I ran with her just for fun. Interesting is that we were faster for more than one second from all dogs in jumping 3 run, including Sara's Cap.

Also interesting was the fact that agility runs in all three Large classes were won by Mawlch dogs - in A1 Mawlch Gunna (and by doing that she passed to 2nd class), in A2 Gunna's mum Pip and in A3 Pip's brother Cap (results).

STEIRMARK WINTER CUP FINALS, AUSTRIA
27/02/2005

The final competition for Steirischer Agility Winter Cup 2004 was held in the riding hall in Tober near Fladnitz in Austria. I was running with Puppy and Cap. With Cap I was 1st in jumping 3 run.

NEWS FROM JAPAN
20/02/2005

This Sunday I got happy news from Japan - on 20th of February, in OPDES A-1 SERIES competition little Mawlch Gyp won jumping 1 class run and she was 2nd in agility run. Gyp was really fast - her turn speed ran up 6.1 m/s in that jumping course.
Congratulations to her handler Hitoro Mizutani!

Hiroto & Gyp

SATISFACTION CUP FINALS - PRESTRANEK
12/02/2005

Final competition for winter Satisfaction cup in Slovenia was held in riding hall in Prestranek. Beside Puppy's 3rd place in agility 3 run, Sara and I didn't make results worth mentioning.
But I must mention 3rd place of our friend Mirela with Mawlch Gunna in A1 class and also 1st place in jumping 1 run of Andrea and young mum Meg (results).

2ND RUN FOR STEIRMARK WINTER CUP, AUSTRIA
06/02/2005

The 2nd competition for Steirischer Agility Winter Cup 2004 was held in the riding hall in Grassnitz near St. Marein in Austria.
Sara and I didn't run well there.

At the same place, but one day before, Sara and Cap competed on obedience competition (more).

2ND COMPETITION FOR SATISFACTION CUP - PRESTRANEK
22/01/2005

In second competition for winter Satisfaction cup in Slovenia, which was held in riding hall in Prestranek, Sara and I weren't very successful. Although they were two the fastest dogs on competition, both Cita and Cap were DK, and only bright moments on that competition were Puppy's 1st place in jumping 3 and Pip's 2nd place in jumping 2.
In A2 Large category won our friend Tanja with Cita's half brother Edi (results).

Cap

1ST RUN FOR STEIRMARK WINTER CUP, AUSTRIA
16/01/2005

In the riding hall in Tober near Fladnitz a. d. Teichalmat the 1st competition for Steirischer Agility Winter Cup 2004 was held.
In A3 Large class Sara was running with Cap and I was running with Puppy and Cita.
Cap and Sara didn't reach the right form yet, so they were DK in both runs.
Cita ran nicely, she was first in agility run and she won 1st place overall.
Puppy was also really good, she was first in jumping and she gained 4th place overall.

At the same competition Tomislav ran with Pip in A2 Large class without success, but Mirela with Pip's daughter Mawlch Gunna in A1 Large won 1st place. Congratulations!

It is interesting that the same day on another agility winter cup competition in Austria (in Korneuburg near Vienna) in A1 Large won Gunna's "twin" brother Gunn. Congratulations to his owner Claudia!
