WEEKEND COMPETITION IN BRATISLAVA
09-10/12/2006

At the weekend competition in Bratislava, which was held in one of the halls of expo complex Incheba, I participated with Cita and Myf.
Both days we're running one open agility course, one open jumping course and one agility 1, 2 or 3 course.
On Saturday I wasn't very successful. Myf was slipping a lot (carpet was really bad) and when I ran with Cita, I trained her contacts (she jumped A-frame in one run and dogwalk in another) so I was DK. Only result from Saturday that is worth mentioning was Myf's 4th place in open jumping. Also, my friend from the Club, with whom I went to Bratislava, Domagoj and his Hita were 3rd in A3 run.
On Sunday it was better. Cita and I were 1st in open agility run, Domagoj and Hita were 2nd. In A3 run Cita was again 1st, and Myf 4th. In both runs in which Cita won, she was almost complete second faster than any other dog. We didn't stay for open jumping run because Domagoj had a cold, and he was feeling worse and worse.
I was very pleased to see Cita's daughter Gera and her owner Michala (she was the one of the organizers). They ran really nice in A2, but because bad luck they didn't finished with clean runs (results).

AGILITY SEMINAR IN TURIN
18-19/11/2006

In little village named Givoletto, about 20 km away from Turin, I came on the invitation of my dear agility friends Erika Siotto and Paola Meroni. I meet Erika (she's from "Gruppo Sportivo Cinofilo Settimese") at the seminar which I held in Cuveglio in July, and I know Paolo (his dog club is "Club Cinofilo Torinese") for longer time, we also meet regularly at FCI agility commission meetings.
Seminar was held in small basketball hall, on the carpet. I was little sorry because I couldn't bring my dogs with me, the training on carpet could use them good.
Although I didn't know most of the handlers, atmosphere was quickly relaxed and we worked nicely. I believe that participants were satisfied with my lecture.

I never saw Paolo running agility before and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. All the things we did Paolo and his, still quite fast, 9 1/2 years old German Shepherd bitch make with ease, like "peace of cake". It looked like she doesn't have any problem with slippery carpet.

JUDGING SVÖ KORNEUBURG'S WINTER CUP
12/11/2006

This year I judged again the Winter cup competition organized by SVÖ Korneuburg (club of our dear friend Sonja Mladek). This time I judged only Open agility and Open jumping for Large category and A1 course for Small, Medium and Large, so I was finished with judging around 03.00 PM - thank you Sonja :-).

CROATIAN CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS - ZAPRESIC
05/11/2006

In final competition of Croatian Championship, which was held in riding hall of horse club "Trajbar team" in Zapresic near Zagreb, I ran with Cap, Myf and with Tanja's Eddie.
With Eddie I ran on Tanja's suggestion, but because we trained together only once before the competition, we weren't very coordinated. I believe that the next time it will be better.

Eddie

With Myf I made both runs without mistake. In agility I was 2nd and in jumping 1st, so we won A3 Large class.
With Cap I was the fastest in agility run, but Cap knocked on bar, while in jumping he was 2nd, a bit slower than little Myf.

Cap

Points that we got in this competition were enough for Cap to win title of Croatian agility Champion for 2006. I believe it's great that after Puppy her son Cap won Croatian Championship. This is nice ending of very successful year for Cap and me. For a while now Sara is ready to start competing again and we agreed that this is the last competition I'm "allowed" to go with Cap, so I doubt I'll run with him any time soon :-)) (results).

AGILITY SEMINAR IN ALESSANDRIA
28-29/10/2006

My second visit to dog school in Spinetta Marengo near Alessandria was very pleasant like the first one, few months ago. My dear agility friends Michaela Cerna and Christian Oggioni were again great hosts, and I was also very glad that I finally meet Massimo Accatino, owner of the club.
The number of participants was much bigger this time, maybe even too big - there were about 20 dogs, mostly Border Collies, 1 Border Terrier, 1German Wirehaired Pointer and 1 Tervueren.
There were many familiar faces, among others my friend Irene Unkauf.
It was very nice to work with handlers, with some of them I spent some nice time in the evening after the training.

11TH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS - BASEL, SWITZERLAND
06-08/10/2006

From 6th to 8th of October 2006 in St. Jakob Arena in Basel 11th Agility World Championship was held.
There were national teams from 34 countries – 31 teams in the Large category, 26 in Medium and 24 in Small. In the individual competition there were 134 dogs in the Large category, 67 in Medium and 64 in Small.
The members of our team were: (LARGE) Zeljko Gora and Mawlch Nac (Border Collie, male), Tanja Janes and Miska Certisa (Croatian Sheepdog, female), Alen Marekovic with Mawlch Cap (Border Collie, male) and Mawlch Myf (Border Collie, female), Domagoj Vidovic and Tzigane's Furija Hita (Tervueren, female), (MEDIUM) Bernarda Debus Redzic and Sanyi Cham (Tibetan Terrier, male), Visnja Deci and Ysabelle de Illyria (miniature schnauzer, female) and Igor Ljubi with White Lucifer Carmen (beagle, female).

Croatian team

The Swiss prepared very well for the event, so the competition went smoothly and everything seemed to be organized flawlessly. Artificial grass as the surface was fine and didn’t present a problem to most of the dogs. The judges were Mia Laamanen from Finland and Peter Kindle from Switzerland.
On Friday morning, after a short opening ceremony, the competition started with the Large category. Mia put down the course for the jumping individual. Unfortunately, as a tradition, our team members had a “bad start” – only Domagoj with Hita managed to make that course with a clear run.
I had one bar with Cap and refusal with Myf.
After that Peter put down the jumping individual course for the Medium and then Small category. Our “Mediums” were better than “Larges” – Igor and Visnja made a clear run, while Bernarda had one refusal.
The last run of the first day was a relatively easy agility run for the Large teams by Mia. For Croatia were running Tanja with Miska, me with Cap and Domagoj with Hita. Well prepared and concentrated, all three of us ran that run fast and without a fault. At the end of the day the ranking list showed that we were first for the time being! Behind us there were 4 more teams without a fault – Slovenia, the Netherlands, Denmark and Japan.
Saturday was completely reserved for the team competitions – the Small and Medium categories ran both team runs, and after that the Large teams ran their second run.
Although Croatia didn’t have a Medium team for many years, and Igor and Bernarda lacked experience from big competitions, we still hoped for their good placement. First to start was the most experienced one – Visnja. Ysabelle and Visnja ran nicely, but because Ysabelle didn’t wait on the see-saw, they gained one fault. Igor and Bernarda ran without a fault on the course, but Bernarda’s Sanyi had a small time fault.
A little later there was jumping. Visnja, Igor and Bernarda ran without a fault (Sanyi again had a small time fault – 2.06 seconds) and we only needed to wait and see which place we’d end up at. Although we were a bit regretful over Visnja’s fault on the see-saw, we were thrilled when we saw that our Medium team gained the excellent 8th place from 26 teams.
Around 16.00 hours the jumping course for the team Large, which we were waiting for, was set down. Because at the World Championship you run the second run in the reverse order from the placement in the first run, and because we were in the lead, we knew that our turn to run would not be earlier than around 19.00 hours. That all-day-long waiting probably put the most pressure on us. We had the same situation two years ago at the World Championship in Italy where we also led after the first run. Then nervousness did its thing, but this year we hoped that we’d keep our heads cool when it would be most needed. As the team competition was coming to an end, the excitement in the hall and between the competitors was growing. The teams which made the first run without a fault fell under pressure, one by one. The Japanese, as well as the Danes, had DK, the dog of the experienced Dutch handler Ton Van De Laar surprisingly came out of the slalom after 10th pole, while the Slovenian team had a misfortune – their member Andreja Jakopic stumbled and fell down so her dog ran under the bar instead of jumping over. It was our turn. We knew that our mission was “only” to make clear runs, without the need to hurry up our dogs. And we did it!!! Croatia finally won the medal at the World Championship… and not just any medal… the gold one!

Joy :-)

Congratulations came from all directions – from other competitors and their supporters (seven “magnificent” team members from Croatia came to Basel without any supporters), from the visibly happy judges, by SMS messages and phone calls from our friends and family… comments could mostly be summed up with one word – FINALLY!
On the suggestion of the president of the Croatian Kennel Club, Damir Skok, who joined the congratulating, we treated ourselves to nice food and a couple of bottles of wine in a Thai restaurant near our hotel. Our celebration didn’t last too long because the finals of the individual competition were ahead of us on Sunday.
We knew that nobody except Domagoj had a big chance for a good overall individual placement, but with that last run we still wanted to show that we didn’t become the team World Champions accidentally.
However, maybe a bit too relaxed after the triumph of the Large team, our representatives in Medium didn’t run well that time – Visnja and Bernarda were DK, Igor had two faults.
In the Large category Zeljko accidentally hit one jump with his foot and got disqualified because of that, my young Myf jumped the zone on the dogwalk (because I was speeding her too much), while Tanja with Miska and me with Cap ran a clear run. Our hope for Domagoj’s good individual placement shrivelled a few obstacles before the finish when Hita took one jump from the wrong side.
But, not such a good result in the individual competition was forgotten in the first seconds of the closing ceremony, especially when the speaker said: "WORLD CHAMPIONS TEAM LARGE – CROATIA!", and the whole audience started to applaud. There was no end to our joy. We climbed the throne and the Croatian anthem echoed through the hall.

Winners

It doesn’t happen often that a small country like Croatia can take pride in having World Champions in a kynological sport, but it’s even rarer that any country can take pride in having dogs like Miska and our Cap, who won the title of the World Champions in two different kynological sports – last year in SAR and this year in agility (results).

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION - PROSECCO NEAR TRIESTE, ITALIA
24/09/2006

At international competition in Prosecco near Trieste I ran with Cap and Myf. The rest of Croatian national team was also participating.
Surface was artificial grass for hockey, so competition suit us fine as preparation for World Championship.
Myf was 1st in jumping and 4th in agility and she won overall in A3 Large class.
Cap was, because my misjudgement, DK in jumping run, but he won 1st place and CACIAG in agility run.
The our whole team did good job by winning 7 first, 4 second and 2 third places altogether.
It was little funny that organizers persistently noted me with Cap as Sara Essert (Sara's maiden name), most likely because old data they have in their computer program for processing results :-)) (results).

SLOVENIAN EUKANUBA CUP - HRUSICA
16/09/2006

At the finals of Slovenian cup competition, which was held in Hrusica, near Karawanken tunnel, I participate with Cap and Myf.
Myf was 1st in agility 3 run and Cap knocked one bar in the same run.
In jumping Myf, for the first time in her life, didn't wait on the start which took me by surprise and resulted with an early refusal. Our chances for any better placement were ruined.
Cap ran in jumping without fault and he took 2nd place overall (results).

5TH COMPETITION FOR CROATIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - VARAZDIN
10/09/2006

At the competition in Varazdin there were not many participants, probably because the previous day there was competition in neighbouring Slovenia.

Cap

Cap was 1st both in agility and in jumping run, so he won A3 Large class, which fastened even more his leading position in Croatian Championship.

Myf

Myf was 2nd in agility run, but in jumping we had two mistakes. Despite that Myf won 2nd place overall in A3 Large class.

Gunna

After long long time our friend Mirela decided to compete again with her Mawlch Gunna. And she was very successful - she was 2nd in agility run, 1st in jumping run and 2nd overall in A2 Large class (results).

8TH COMPETITION FOR SLOVENIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - LJUBLJANA
02/09/2006

At competition in Ljubljana Myf's sister Mist had her agility debut. With her owner Iztok Hirsenfelder she won 2nd place overall in A1 Large.
In A3 Large the 1st place overall was won by Mitja with Cap's sister Ceri. Sincere congratulations to both!

Cap and I

Both Cap and Myf made jumping run without mistake, but they were both DK in agility run (results).

11TH SLOVAK CHAMPIONSHIP - BRATISLAVA
19-20/08/2006

The weekend competition in Bratislava was held in well-known expo complex Incheba, parallel with international dog show.
On Saturday we ran jumping individual and agility team, and on Sunday jumping team and agility individual.
At the first day of competition Cap and Myf were slipping a lot on the carpet (that was the first competition on carpet for Myf) so although they ran clear runs in jumping individual, they weren't placed very good - Myf was 7th and Cap 8th. But next day in agility individual Cap ran much much better - he was first in that run and 2nd in overall placement.
With Myf I was DK in agility run.
For our KOSSP Zagreb team, beside Cap and me, ran Domagoj with Hita and Tanja with Miska. In agility team run we weren't very good, but in jumping we were 2nd placed team (we had the fastest time and one knocked bar). We gained 6th place overall.
With Myf I ran in team with two handlers from Czech Republic - Radomír Hosta with Border Collie and Jitka Lebedová with Malinois (Jitka with her Papillion won individual in Small category). In agility run we were 3rd and we manage to maintain that rank in overall team placement (results).

EUROPEAN OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP - ROESER, LUXEMBOURG
29-30/07/2006

There were about 700 dogs from 24 nations present at the EO 2006 in Luxembourg. Croatia was participating with 7 dogs. Because the Croatian team - team of KOSSP Zagreb - had only a limited number of places at this EO, I ran there only with Cap.

Cap and I at the finals

In our Large KOSSP Zagreb team, beside Cap and me, there were Zeljko Gora and Mawlch Nac (border collie), Domagoj Vidovic with Tzighane's Furija Hita (tervueren) and Buba Ricijas with Maeglin Zed (border collie).
In our Medium team there were Visnja Deci with Ysabelle de Illyria (miniature schnauzer), Tomislav Burec with Beli (miniature schnauzer) and Igor Ivanovic with Rea (engl. cocker spaniel).

3rd place in agility run - our Large team - Zeljko, me, Buba and Domagoj

On Saturday we ran for the individual and on Sunday for the team placement. Out of our four Large dogs Buba and Zed didn't make it to the finals.
In the finals I got the starting number 1 and I felt really good about that. I said, partially as a joke: "One is my starting number and the same number will be my ranking position". And I managed to keep my "promise". Nobody from 78 handlers that run after me managed to make a better run.
Cap and I won the European Open Championship :-).

Winners of Large finals

We celebrated till one o'clock in the morning. Next day a disappointment... not with our runs, but with the judging of Mr Andre Mauer. He was judging the jumping team run and although I ran a clear run with a time of 35,52 sec (which would result in 3rd place in that run), Mr Mauer "saw", from the distance of 20 meters and with me running between him and Cap, a refusal at the long jump. All of our pleads to him and to the organizers didn't have any results.
Not even when we produced a videotape as a clear evidence. Everybody that looked at my run saw that it was a flawless run, but Mr Mauer was sure he saw something. To characterise Mr Mauer's judging abilities it is enough to say that he didn't see that Zeljko's Nac, who ran before me, jumped between the tyre and the frame and not through the tyre, so Zeljko finished his run with two mistakes. It would have been better for our team if Mr Mauer had judged both runs correctly. But because of him, instead of our Large team finishing on 2nd place overall, we were 11th. But at least we were 3rd in the agility run (results).

AGILITY WORKSHOP IN MONDORF, GERMANY
25-26-27/07/2006

Only one day after I returned from the seminar in Italy, I went to Germany, to a little place called Mondorf near Bonn and the river Rhine. There, at the terrain of Hundesportgruppe Rhein-Sieg, a three-day long agility workshop was held and I was one of the trainers. Other four trainers were: Silvia Trkman (SLO), Hinky Nickels (LUX/GER), Regin Reinhard (DK) and Steffen Ruschinski (GER). Steffen was the one who invited me to the workshop.
There were 40 participants divided in 8 groups and each trainer worked 45 minutes per day with each group. Because of the sun and a high temperature it was quite hard work, but during breaks and in the evening we really had fun.
I'm very glad that I was there and met so many new people, with some of them I hung out and talked quite often in those three days.

AGILITY SEMINAR IN CUVEGLIO, ITALY
21-22/07/2006

I came to hold an agility seminar in a little village of Cuveglio near the Swiss border, on the invitation of a dear agility friend and an Italian team member Irene Unkauf. Since I needed to drive to Germany on Monday (because of another agility seminar), this seminar was held on Friday and Saturday. Surprisingly, there were even more people on Friday than on Saturday.
I had already met a couple of participants at the seminar in Alessandria three weeks before. Most of the handlers were from Irena's dog club, but there were also a couple of handlers from Switzerland.
I enjoyed working with them and I hope they learned something they'll be able to use in their future training.

SLOVENIAN EUKANUBA CUP - LJUBLJANA
09/07/2006

At the competition in Ljubljana I ran with Myf and Cap.

Mawlch Myf

In A2 Large class I was first with Myf and with that competition Myf passed to the A3 class.

Mawlch Cap

With Cap I was first in jumping 3 run (results).

JUDGING IN SLOVENIA
08/07/2006

The weekend of 8th-9th July in Ljubljana was reserved for agility. On Saturday I was judging a competition for the Slovenian national championship and the last qualifying round for the entrance to the Slovenian national team, while on Sunday I competed myself.
The organizer of that two-day long competition was the dog club Agility Ilirija.
There were 115 dogs competing.
Here are some of the courses I put there:

Agility 3 Small, Medium & Large

Jumping 3 Small, Medium & Large

AGILITY SEMINAR IN ALESSANDRIA
01-02/07/2006

My long standing agility friend Christian Oggioni invited me to hold an agility seminar in his dog club in Alessandria. That was my first agility seminar in Italy.
The dogs and the handlers at the seminar differed a lot in knowledge and experience, some of them had barely started with agility trainings, and some of them were (are) members of Italian national team (both purebred and mix).
It was very pleasant, and since the participants were more than satisfied, Christian invited me to come again for a seminar at the end of the year. I gladly accepted.

Participants of the seminar at Sunday

CACIAG DOMZALE - SLOVENIA
24/06/2006

At the competition in Domzale - a traditional CACIAg competition - I ran with Cita, Cap and Myf.
Cita was again starting to follow me instead jump over the hurdle, so I left the course because she wouldn't have avoided the jump if she had been physically fit for agility.
Because Cap knocked the bar off the first jump, I used that run for a training of the contact zones.

Cap

In A2 Large class, even with 20 negative points in both runs together, Myf and I still managed to be 3rd :-)(results).

Prvo troje u A2 Large razredu

12TH INTERNATIONAL AGILITY WEEKEND - GEEL, BELGIUM
17-18/06/2006

Coming for the 12th year in a row to a little place called Geel in Belgium, I felt like I was coming home. Although the people organizing the big international weekend competition have remained the same all those years, the name of the dog club in charge did change (in the last years the organizer has been DDV Herentals).
On both days of the competition there were more than 450 competitors. Beside Belgian judges there were two judges who will judge this year's World Championship in Basel - Mia Laamanen from Finland and Peter Kindle from Switzerland.
I ran with Cita, Cap and Myf.
From better results I could mention Myf's 5th place in Open on Saturday, her 3rd place in A2 run and Cap's 2nd place (R. CACIAg) in A3 run on Sunday. The Sunday's jumping run with Cap I did the fastest and without a fault, but unfortunately I stepped on the cloth of the collapsible tunnel and therefore I was DK.
The second day of the competition Cita was starting to show signs of tiredness (at two occasions she rather followed me than jump over the hurdle), so I didn't run all the runs with her.
At the end of the show on Sunday "DDV's International Award" knock out competition was held. The previous days I qualified for it with Cap and Myf. Cap knocked one bar in semi finale, but I'm very proud that young Myf took the victory in Large category.

3RD COMPETITION FOR CROATIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - ZAGREB
10/06/2006

At the competition for the Croatian Championship, which was organized by our club KOSSP Zagreb, I ran with Cap and Cita.
For Cita that was the first competition after almost 9 months. She broke the ligaments of her right front pastern at a herding training and frankly, I already accepted the fact that I'll never run with her again. But since recently she'd completely stopped limping, the hope rose in me again. I started with training slowly, about two weeks before the competition, and the competition in Zagreb was sort of a test for Cita's leg.

Cita

Cap was running really well and I was first with him in both agility 3 and jumping 3 run. In the Open run Cap was the fastest, but he knocked one jump.
Cita ran without any problems :-), but she was DK in both official runs because of my bad handling. In the Open run she had the second fastest time, but as Cap, she also knocked one jump (results).

Cap

5TH COMPETITION FOR SLOVENIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - MARIBOR
03/06/2006

At the competition in Maribor I ran with Cap and Myf.
With Myf I was first in both agility 2 and jumping 2 runs, while with Cap I was DK in agility 3 run (I sent him back on A-frame, because he didn't make contact zone the first time he ran over the obstacle) and in jumping 3 we had one bar down.
It was nice that in A2 Large class winner was Myf and in A3 Large class her mother Meg (bravo Andreja) (results).

4TH COMPETITION FOR SLOVENIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - SLOVENSKA BISTRICA
20/05/2006

At the competition in Slovenska Bistrica Myf had her 3rd "clear run" and therefore, after only three competitions, she passed to A2 class.
In jumping run we again made mistake(s), but Myf was 3rd overall anyway.

First three in A1 Large class

In A3 Large class I won both agility and jumping run with Cap, so we won that class.
The 2nd in that class was Tanja with her Miska (results).

First three in A3 Large class

SLOVENIAN EUKANUBA CUP - LOZNICA NEAR ZALEC
13/05/2006

The 2nd competition for Slovenian Eukanuba Cup was held in village of Loznica near Zalec, or to be more precise near Loznica :-). I ran with Myf and Cap there. Whole competition was for me in the sign of number 4.
In A1 Large class Myf was 2nd in agility run, but because my bad handling in jumping she entered slalom incorrectly. We ended up in 4th place overall.

Myf

In the same class Jasna Sen and Croatian Sheepdog Mawlch Grom were really good. They won agility run and they were second overall and with that result they passed to A2 Large class. Congratulations!
In A2 Large class Zeljko and Mawlch Nac were first in agility run, the fastest in both, but because one mistake in jumping, they won 3rd place overall.
In A3 Large class Cap and I were the fastest in both runs, but also in both runs we had one knocked bar and in overall placement Cap, like Myf, ended up in 4th place.
In that class, again the best was excellent handler Domagoj and Hita, and 2nd was Tanja with "mom" Miska. That was the first competition for Miska after whelping (she has three lovely Croatian Sheepdog pups from excellent working lines combination - the father of pups in Cita's son, above mentioned Grom). I would like to mention that Tanja won 3rd place in jumping run with her second Croatian Sheepdog Edi.
Sincere congratulations (results)!

Cap

Besides those two official runs, there was an open agility run for team placement on that competition. I ran with Myf and Cap in the team with Domagoj and Zeljko and we gained 4th place. We were the fastest team and only faster than Cap in that run was World Champions Silvia Trkman's Pyrenean Sheepdog La (results).

3RD COMPETITION FOR SLOVENIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - SELCA
06/05/2006

At the 3rd competition for Slovenian Championship, which was held in Selca near Skofja Loka, Myf had her debut.

Myf

Agility courses were like meant for Mawlch dogs - in all three Large classes they were the best.
In A1 Large class in agility run Myf was first and Mawlch Graa was second. Mawlch Grom wasn't very good.
In jumping run Myf knocked one bar and ended up in 2nd place overall.
In A2 Large class in agility run the first place won Zeljko with Mawlch Nac. Nac was, also because one knocked bar, overall 2nd.
In the same class Michala and Gera weren't very successful, but that wasn't surprise because Michala is study in Zagreb and Gera is at home in Bratislava, so they don't train at all.

Michala and Mawlch Gera

But other two Croatian Sheepdogs in A2 Large class were good - Panta Rhei won overall 3rd place and Saba was 2nd in jumping run.
In A3 Large class in agility run Cap was 1st, Myf's mom Meg 2nd and Cap's sister Ceri 3rd.

Cap

In jumping 3 run Mawlch Griff was 1st, while Cap was the fastest, but because he knocked one bar Cap ended up in 3rd lace overall (results).

2ND COMPETITION FOR CROATIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - VARAZDIN
30/04/2006

At the second competition for Croatian Championship, which was held in Varazdin I was 2nd overall with Cap in A3 Large class, although I had one refusal in agility run and 4 !!! knocked bars in jumping run. Funny, isn't it?
Only thing because of which I'll remember this competition is the fact that little Mawlch Nell had her debut here (results).

2ND COMPETITION FOR SLOVENIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - PTUJ
29/04/2006

At the competition which was held in Ptuj I ran with Cap, but not very successfully.

Mawlch Grom

In A2 Large class Michala and Mawlch Gera were 3rd in both runs and 2nd overall.
In the same class Mitja and Mawlch Niamh were first after agility run, but, unfortunately, they were DK in jumping.
After a long time Janja was competing with Glen but she was DK in both runs (results).

JUDGING IN ITALY
22-23/04/2006

This year I was also invited by Irma Bertolini to judge at the two days long competition in Gattatica near Reggio Emilia. I gladly accepted the invitation and I was very pleased when Irma told me that second judge will be Paolo Meroni, my dear colleague from FCI agility committee. Competition was again nicely organized by dog club "Why Not Dog".
In competition on Saturday there was about 150 and on Sunday about 250 dogs. It was quite hot and oppressive for standing and judging all day, but with those fast Italian dogs time also flied fast.

Jumping 3 Small, Medium & Large

Agility 3 Small, Medium & Large

1ST COMPETITION FOR SLOVENIAN CHAMPIONSHIP - AJDOVSCINA
15/04/2006

At the first competition for Slovenian Championship, which was held in Ajdovscina, I ran with Cap.

Cap

In agility 3 run we were 1st, two seconds faster than excellent team on second place - Domagoj Vidovic and his tervueren bitch Hita - also members of KOSSP Zagreb. In jumping 3 run I made handling mistake, but we manage to finish the run with one refusal. Regardless of that refusal, Cap had the fastest combine (agility + jumping) time in A3 Large class and won 3rd place. First place won Domagoj and Hita, and second place Andreja with Myf's mother Meg. Sincere congratulations!

The best three in A3 Large

I would like to mention that in A1 Large class two of Cita's kids - Graa and Grom - had clear agility run and that in that run Grom was 2nd and Graa 4th.
In A2 Large class again won handler with Croatian Sheepdog. This time it was Borut Jeraj from dog club Kamnik with his bitch Ajka. Congratulations to all (results).

JUDGING SVÖ KORNEUBURG'S WINTER CUP
19/03/2006

Our dear agility friend Sonja Mladek invited me again to judge the finals of Winter cup organized by her dog club SVÖ Korneuburg. The competition was held on the carpet in the same hall as last year, in Korneuburg near Vienna. Atmosphere was very nice and, although in the end my legs were "killing" me, I enjoyed judging!

NIKO'S SUCCESS IN SAITAMA
18/03/2006

Little Niko made really good result at competition in Japan. Here is the report from her owner and handler Kozo Tsugeno:
"There was an agility competition in Saitama on March 18th.
Niko and I were participating in JP1 and AG1 Large.
The number of participation in those classes was 60.
In JP1 run Niko knocked the bar when I did the front cross because of the turn of 180 degrees after the soft tunnel. Niko's running was very good.
However, because Niko missed the last pole in slalom she was disqualified. When I look at it now I see that I moved away from Niko and slalom too early (video clip).
