MISSION IN SILJAKOVINA On Saturday, on 10 July 2010, Sara participated
in SAR action with Cap and Myf. They were searching for an older
male person, who disappeared a day earlier in the area of village
Siljakovina. Beside 7 members of KOSSP Zagreb rescue team, in
the mission participated also the members of GSS and HUOPP.
The mission started by searching of the area around houses in
the street where the person lived. Already after 5 minutes of
searching, in the nearby rusty orchard, Sara spotted the body
of the searched person, unfortunately dead, so the mission was
suspended.
SLOVENIAN
NATIONAL SAR DOG CHAMPIONSHIP From 15th to 17th May Sara and Myf participated
in Slovene SAR Dog Championship. Again they competed in RH-FL
B. Unfortunately they didn't pass the exam because they missed
one of two bodies hidden on the starting line (one was on the
left and one on the right on the 0 m line, and 50 m from the
middle road). Sara was content despite failure because Myf did
all three disciplines very motivated and Sara hopes that next
time they will have more sports luck and maybe a bit more training
before the next exam. SAR
MISSION IN NOVOSELEC Just on Cap's birthday, Sara got an invitation
to participate in SAR mission. They were looking for 40 years
old man who was last seen in Novoselec area. She participated
with Cap and Myf, together with 8 colleagues from KOSSP “Zagreb”.
Unfortunately the man wasn’t found although the terrain,
where they were searching, was thoroughly searched. The weather
was cold and windy, so the dogs had good conditions for their
work.
