SHEEPDOG TRIAL IN KETTENREITH, AUSTRIA

On Sunday, 27th of June 2004, I competed with Cap, Gael and Puppy in sheepdog trial. With Cap I ran in 1st class and with Gael and Puppy in 2nd class.

Cap was 9th (from 21 dogs). In his class the winner was our friend Claudia with Gael's brother Gunn. Congratulations!

In the 2nd class Puppy was 1st and Gael 3rd (results).

HERDING TEST IN AUSTRIA

On Sunday, 9th of May 2004, I took a herding exam with Cap, Gael and Glen. The test was held in the village of Kettenreith near Vienna, Austria.
Gael, which lives on a sheep farm near Bjelovar, belongs to a dear friend, Mrs Ankica Dvorzak Friscic. I ran with Gael on an advanced herding test (Hütehundeprüfung) and passed it without a problem - we even won a cup for the 3rd place. The second place in that class was won by Claudia Fischer with Gael's brother Gunn.

Cap successfully passed the basic herding instinct test (Erweiterte Anlagenprüfung).

Unfortunately, Glen failed the test - because of his great fascination with sheep, he forgot his commands such as "Lie down", "Steady" etc... :-).

Beside Cap, Gael, Glen and Gunn, two more Mawlch dogs participated in the test - Gel and Chip, with their owners Bruna and Dijana.
