NIKO AT SHEEPDOG TRIAL IN JAPAN
20/11/2005

On 20th of November Puppy's daughter Mawlch Niko, which lives in Japan, was participated in sheepdog trial held at Hattori Ranch. Although her owner and handler dear Mr Kozo Tsugeno modestly said that his handling was very unskilled, Niko and him won 2nd place at that trial. Sincere congratulations!

SHEEPDOG TRIAL
MARKT NEUHODIS, AUSTRIA
30/10/2005

On Sunday, 30th of October 2005, I competed in sheepdog trial in little Austrian village named Markt Neuhodis, near Hungarian border. I ran with Puppy and Gael in 2nd class and with Cap and Pip in 1st class.

Cap, Puppy, Pip, Gael & I

With Gael I won and with Puppy I was 2nd. Gael got full points for outrun and lift and she lost only one at the pen. Puppy also made very good outrun and lift (she lost only one point), but I was quite confused after she lifted the sheep - it took me some time to realise that I'm mixing my left and right commands :-(. Poor old Puppy.
There was only one run and, unfortunately, only 4 dogs in 2nd class.
In 1st class there were 2 runs. After first run I was in a lead with Cap (he got really nice 96 out of 110 points). In second run, the helper had some problems with bringing my sheep, so I was standing at the post for some time, getting nervous. Cap probably sensed that and he reacted badly to my commands in second run.
Pip did very well for her trialing debut (results).

Mawlch Gunn, Gael, Pip, Puppy, Cap & Myf

In his debut in 3rd class Gael's brother Gunn was 5th. Mawlch Gunn is overall winner of 2nd class in Austria for 2005. Congratulations to his owner and our friend Claudia!

HERDING TEST IN MARKT NEUHODIS
29/10/2005

On Saturday, a day before sheepdog trial, in Markt Neuhodis the basic and advanced herding tests were held.
I passed advanced herding test with Pip with success.
It was interesting that in basic herding test the best was not a Border Collie, but an Australian Kelpie (results).

SHEEPDOG TRIAL IN KETTENREITH, AUSTRIA
15/05/2005

On Sunday, 15th of May 2005, I competed with Gael and Puppy in sheepdog trial. With both I ran in 2nd class.

Shedding with Gael

With Gael I was 5th (unfortunately, from only 5 dogs) and with Puppy 2nd. It is interesting that my old Puppy won agility competition in Slovenia the day before (more).
Gael would probably have better placement, if I didn't react to slow when she griped the sheep in order to prevent her to escape. Because of that she was disqualified in second run.

Claudia & me with dogs

In 2nd class the winner was our dear friend Claudia with Puppy's grandson and Gael's brother Gunn. Congratulations (results)!
